On Ross Leidy"s kayak page detailing his Outer Island project he shows making
sealing channels for deck hatches. After taping in the hatches he shows laying down a surface he calls "clear contact paper" I'm assuming this is some kind of release product but am unsure exactly what the product is. In the past I have used waxed paper for bent laminations and it releases reasonably well. I contacted a couple of local (Southern Calif.) glass and epoxy sources and they diden't seem to know any thing about a product called contact paper. Later on the same page when making a mold for making glass and carbon pad-eyes Ross talks of using clear plastic. Is this the clear kitchen wrap type of clear plastic or something else? Any Information on either or both of these products would be greatly appreciated.
