ROS Recommendations?

You guys do a lot of sanding, right? Do you have any recommendations on Random Orbital Sanders? "Right angle" vs. "palm grip" vs. "whatever the other kind is called". I've been looking at the "Bosch 3727DVS", the "Porter Cable 7336", and the "Bosch 1370DEVS". All about $180 - $250. I've been thinking that sanding something the size of kayak or a boat hull would quickly burn out the smaller (< $100 )palm grip sanders. Any comments.
