I use clear packing tape in joining my deck to hull all the time. I just scrub it down with water and a scrub pad since any tape residue will be on top of the amine blush the resin will produce during cure time.

System Three has repeatedly told me NOT to use any solvents on their resin since the solvents may have many impurities that could leave a residue and cause problems.
