How much force is on a bungee for a Leidy Hatch

Hi everyone,

I am trying to figure out a proper seal for my hatches. I am planning four bungees pulling each hatch down (one for each corner). To get a really nice flush hatch, I need to ensure that I have proper compression of the seal so that the hatch will sit on the lip. Based on the force I can measure the deflection of a sample.

Any suggestions are welcome.
