Spatter Safety and Wet Sanding

Once I get to the wet sanding stage I have been doing it by hand since: 1. I usually wet sand on the final coat of epoxy and then in between varnish coats - by this time I am not removing much and power sanding is harder to control. 2. When i tried to wet sand with the power sander it shot splatters all over the place. 3. The hook and loops got flimsy in the water 4. I couldn't find wet sanding paper in discs.

If someone could solve 3 and 4 then I'd probably give it a try again...
