: The outriggers are still in the planning (?) stage but here's
: my thinking so far.

: Take the nose form graph paper and flip it upside down on a new sheet.
: Trace it.
: Make a baby strongback so that the total length is 36" x 6".
: Strip 2 circles.

This is more of design thing, but lets see if anyone out there can give you an engineered calculation on floatation vs drag vs stabillity. Or other such information.

Seems to me like 48" X 5" would be a better way to go. The spars attaching the outrigger will be just as important for form and function.

: With the strong curve on both ends, I can be pushed out from shore and not
: stress the wood by trying to push it under. Besides, I think it will look
: neat.

: If I don't like the final shape, I can always sell them on ebay as Barbie
: kayaks. :)

: And finally: The hull is finished being stripped. I am going to sand and
: plane til my arms fall off today. I also have lots of new pics to post to
: the site. Probably tomorrow morning.

: Keep you all posted. Thanks again for the encouragement,

: Rick

We're with you all the way :)
