hey good ideas dave and mitch, heres some others

-maybe wad up some fibreglass insulation w/ as much or little epoxy that you want and just drop the wad down and tamp or maybe even not.maybe a small tube or so for drainage and pull loose when getting green if use a lightly wetted wad

-instead of the tube or sheer clamps i wonder if a string(w/ a wt) or rod or wire draped down would allow it to follow down whereever you wanted. would work better on more viscous endpours.

-another way would be to use a fairly strong plastic cup(a funnelwould be good if large opening) with a 3/4in diam hole drilled in the bottom. press in a cork w/ a long string, tape or tie the cup to the end of a dowel. pull the cork when at the bottom.

-i have no idea what i'll use for my long yaks, but i think i want the wad to be able to flex without breaking somewhat which probably means some sort of really thick mix. so maybe cut off the end of a small baggie so open both ends, put a 1/2in eyelet on the end of the stick, thread a little of the baggie thru the eye, long stringline, fill baggie w/ mix, tie off w/ elastic band , drape down and pull string and baggie thru eyelet therebyhe squishing mix out. sorta like cake decorating.

-hehehe, another is to tie the toilet plunger on the end of the stick, fill plunger w/ mix and jam in the end of the upright yak. turn upside down and let set for a bit and then pull the plunger. wonder if it'd work?

-what about wrapping some kevlar or nylon or synthetic around a plastic bag covered pc of styro or soft foam shape like a cone. then just jam it like crazy down there for a cple hours and then pull the bag and foam. would get a strong and yet flexiblish end.
