How far along are you on the project? Are you planning to move the strongback/boat in a moving truck? or in a pickup? And how far do you need to move it?

One idea is to build a plywood crate to put the boat/strongback in -- especially if you're going to move the boat in a moving truck/U-Haul.... then you don't need to worry about what might get stacked on top of it. You could screw the bottom of the strongback directly to the bottom of the box so things wouldn't shift around inside the box....and then put the words, "fragile!" handle with care!" on the box top, sides, and ends. Add a handle on each end to make it easier to move, screw the lid on, and you're ready to go.
