: My wife has found a new place to live and, unfortunately, my boat project and

: be taking the legs off and tying it down... any other ideas?
Chip, when you pick up the truck, check and see if they have hold-down straps that connect from side to side. Most of the bugger trucks use them to secure Stoves, washers/dryers and Fridges. You can buckle them to each side and tie your strongback/boats onto them and they will take all the movement very well up in the top/inside of the truck. You can tighten the straps to very rigid, or leave some slack to allow for a little movement, however you feel safe with them. just set them over the straps and bunjie them around the strap/strongback. Should work very well.
