Using no glue doesn't limit you in any way. I used nearly as many 3/8" wide strips as 3/4" strips on this design because of the shape. I also used no stem molds, only nose and transom blocks made out of mahogany. I had to use rubber bands to hold the first half dozen strips together, Clear Coat those, wait a day, and then go on. But, it definitly speeds up the stripping process if you are using staples.
