Thats a good one. I would definately explain to him that children are not allowed in the shop. There are just too many things to get hurt on.
You could quote him a price to fix his hard drive; that will probably do the trick.

I like the $200/gallon, time limit suggestion too! And the "grab some sandpaper" approach.

How aboout "Tell you what, you help me finish the boat and I'll help you fix your hard drive. Here, put these gloves on..."
