I'm not averse to paying a reasonable fee. I think the argument that the marine board doesnt support paddling facilities only holds so much water; I do use thos facilities. I just dont think $15 per boat is reasonable, considering that we may only be talking about a $200 boat. And, as was pointed out in the earlier post, most paddlers own more than one boat and this makes the fees really excessive. Not to mention the silly requirement for 3" high numbers, when the freeboard may only be 6".
Technically, we are already required to get a HIN number for the record. But it isnt enforced.
