To rough carve the cheek impressions I use a wire brush in my drill. I think use a 3-4" 16 grit disk by hand and then some dragon skin for final smoothness. Its the other side of the seat that I havent figured the best way to do yet since the tapers require about 1/2" at the edges down to nothing at the center. A hot wire may work - used to shape model airplane foam wing cores.....
