I am putting the finishing touches on a 20' Grand Laker canoe and plan to introduce it to water in the next week. (Yes, I realize it's not a kayak, but you guys are such a helpful lot...) I live in Oklahoma, but have the opportunity to haul it to Michigan for a family camping reunion. The License process takes 4-6 weeks in OK and will not be completed by the time we leave. Can anyone out there share the rules in Michigan for canoes? Will it need to be licensed to be legal on rivers or lakes? Any info would be appreciated.
