Did not happen to me. May be a silly question: did you attempt to wash the white spot off with a soft tooth brush-- may be epoxy dust accumulated in low spot.
You may have sand into glass fibre or improper mix of epoxy.

My problem is not white spots but white patches that show up whenever dews form on the surface. It last about a month and than clear up -- wet or dry. I think in my case it was water condensed on not yet cured epoxy. I do think it is what you have.
