Hi:
I have fiberglassed both sides of hull and deck, and before joining them I was wondering what to do. Do you guys use fill coats on the inside of the hull or the underside of the deck? Is the fill coat for extra strength, or just comsetic reasons? How much weight will it add? I am planning on applying the fill coat to the outer hull and deck after joining them.
My boat is a "modified" Great Auk, which I have bob-tailed about 2 feet short of the original design. I'm just starting to get some picture on the 'net, but here is a shot of the hull. If the picture doesn't show up right away check back later because the University of Buffalo is installing new software, and the web-server should be down for some time today.
