I'm using one on my strip walrus. I also use a scrap 1/4" strip, and 1-3/4" brads. It holds real well! I dont expect any oil problems, the hull will be sanded before applying epoxy anyway. I'll be sure to post it if there are problems though. I have used a staple gun (1/4" crown) and the holes it leaves are quite a bit bigger than an Arrow T-50 leaves. Line them up carefully and it'l look natural. Again, I'd suggest a scrap above the hull. When you pull the scrap out, it gives a nice grip on the staple to remove it, and does less damage to the hull overall.
