I made two S & G's this winter and I'm in love with them. I do not feel that they are in any way inferior, and none of the builders that have given advice over the winter have made me feel that my boats were in any way inferior to their strippers. I'm damn proud of these boats, and you should be proud of your boat too. These boats paddle beautifully, despite the steep learning curve this winter. Do I salivate over the strip built boats that everyone posts here? Sure I do, and I will build one eventually, but while the average hobby builder is taking a year to finish their stripper, I made two Chesapeake's (from the book no less) and I'm out paddling already.
