I cracked open my Raka a couple nights ago and mixed my first batch. I'm planning on putting a seal coat under the glass.
I did a trial run on a flat panel that I've glued together to be used as a bulkhead.
Well, first off, I mixed too much...lesson learned.
How thick should the seal coat be. I did kindofa sloppy job, probably rushed to much. My panel has some spots that have a smooth glossy raised surface and some that are very thinly covered that still 'feel' like wood.
The seal coat is only to soak into the wood, right? Does the thin coat accomplish this or should I apply the thicker coat?
