A Pelican case is a hard plastic box -- with gaskets. It's waterproof. They come in assorted sizes. Otter makes boxes too -- also in assorted sizes, mostly smaller than the small Pelican case. Check the dimensions before you buy. Voyeguer also makes dry bags that are designed for GPS units, radios & cell phones so that you can use the item while still in the bag. (The bags have flotation built in). I've got one of those for my GPS. SealLine also makes bags designed for all those assorted electronic items so they can be used in the bag.
