I know this has been discussed a thousand times before, But after reading a post several days ago this has been picking at me. Couldnt you use the vacuum process to pull stain completely into the strips after they're cut(before stripping).wouldn,t this cure the sand through problem with stained strips being faired after stripping. This has actually bothered me for quite some time after reading other post's on staining because I've seen laminated gun stocks using colored wood(green, blue, red in various incredible combinations)Kents boat reminded me of this because I saw a red, white and blue stock that was incredible. After reading all the other posts I couldnt figure out how they could shape the stocks without sanding throught the color. Maybe a sealed pipe filled with stain and strips, pull a vacuum.Any ideas.
