Not to sound bitter, but Aircraft Spruce can barely follow shipping instructions let alone answer that kind of technical question. Sorry, my angst is showing after two expensive lessons.
Vacuum bagging aircraft parts is not done to pull resin into the foam cores. It is done to idealize the amount of resin in the layup. A good percentage of the resin is "removed" from the layup. this maximizes strength by ensuring that the cloth is firmly pressed onto the core while minimizing the weight.
All that being said, using a vacuum to impregnate, (can I use that word here?? ), wood fibres sounds doable. Wouldn't the same process as "stablizing wood" work?
