I'd agree with Mike's assessment on the epoxy. I would think the sample kit from Raka would be plenty. One tip I picked up from Platt Monford's video is metering the small amounts needed for joints. He uses squeeze bottles to hold the resin or hardener. These are like the cheapo mustard or catsup bottles you see in WalMart. You might be able to find them in the beauty section too. Mine are clear, but colored ones should be fine. Next he uses an oral syringe for each bottle (I use 10 cc) to measure out the amounts of resin and hardener. Check a drug stroe for those. If you cut the tops of the squeeze bottles a bit, then the syringes fit right in and inverting the bottle allows you to draw out the material. You can also stick the syringe back into the bottle for storage. I don't clean them after use, since they never get mixed (intentionally anyway :-) Using this method, you can mix as little as 3 cc of epoxy with no problems.
