Yes. It is glued at the gunwales. Similar to a Walrus, but no staples or tacks. It works very well. Check out Platt Monfort's site below. This stuff is pretty strong and easy. I will also clamp down the gunwales with a rub rail. The only problem I can see is it seems to soften under oil based urethanes so I'm sticking (no pun intended :-) to water based sealers.
