I can't comment on the System 3 with West, but do know that MAS and West bond just fine. I too ran out of one and had to switch to the other. The Epifanes varnish is what I used on both of my yaks this winter, and they both have West under the varnish...not a bit of trouble. Between the epoxy, and the amber color of the Epifanes, it brought out a lovely warm glow to the wood.
