I dont know why they would say that MAS doesnt wet out well. It's as thin or thinner than the others. Ive used MAS, RAKA, and System-Three, and prefer MAS for it's cure rate, color, and wet-out characteristics. RAKA is also pretty good, and a little less expensive. I use thier glass. I dont think it makes too much difference whos epoxy you use, just be sure to mix it right. Also be sure to wash off the blush, if you use one that blushes. There are some tests out there on color; if you plan on using light-colored wood and dont want the yellow epoxy to discolor it, check into that further. I forget who ran the tests.
