My wife just bought a $100+ ionizer for the house.
Any suggestions as to how I could liberate it for shop use?

: Well that $1.00 ionizer has paid for itself well. During my fill coats of
: epoxy I was plagued with dust even with wetting out the air and floor of
: the garage first so I was dreading the varnishing ahead. Well, I set the
: ionizer up in the garage as Edgar noted in his post and misted the air and
: floor, put up a no trespassing sign on the garage door and commenced to
: varnish. (Wife wasn't happy shouting through the garage windows when she
: needed me.) Well I got up this morning expecting the usual dust on the
: hull and low and behold there was absolutely none! I'm hooked with using
: one from this point on.
