I did it flat,as Nick suggests,however I was afraid I wouldnt get the deck to curve correctly,and I used 3mm Okoume marine ply,with 2 layers of 6 oz glass inside and one 6 oz layer outside.It is stiff,and supports my weight(180') without flexing.I bent it into shape on the hull,after making the cutout,by weighting it down(I used an old vise,and 2 lathe chucks),and it went very quickly.
