Are you sure it would be a good idea to burn the paper towels? It sounds like an explosion waiting to happen. I know oil soaked rags can spontaneoulsy combust because the heat builds up slowly, I wouldn't think that would happen with laquer thinner because it evaporates so quickly. Maybe the combination of the thinner and epoxy would cause combustion.
Rather than burning the rags I would suggest hanging them over a sawhorse or fencepost to dry and then dispose of them or putting them in an airtight can filled with water (like the manufacturers say).
