Hmmm.... I don't recall having any troubles with our carbon paddles from Whetstone, but then again, we haven't tried pole vaulting off the bottom of a pool either :) . Maybe a combination of fabrics would work. The Whetstone blades have S-glass on them as well, I believe.

This whole incident brings back a memory of a previous conversation ... :-)
