I would try some kind of padded strap around her wrist or arm and the paddle. The strap should be centered over the back of her hand and wrap around her hand and paddle. The strap would then be fastened to the strap around her wrist or arm. That way she could grip the paddle using her existing fingers on the back side of the paddle and still rotate the paddle if using a feathered paddle. Maybe a Greenland style paddle would work better for her. Tell her to go ahead and get the paddle, because out of this great builletin board we will find a way to get her paddling.
