: I got cheated! With seat and compass, it's 48#. Mine isn't the 'L'

Mine is also 6oz inside and out, 2 layers on the bottom, 3 layers at the bow and stern and 3 layers inside the hull and deck just behind the seat...where I sit when I get in and out. Turns out I probably didn't need that but it's my first boat and I was nervous about it's strenght. The difference is the epoxy I'm sure....I ended up using almost 3 gallons.
