Mitch, an item that I've found useful: a zippered "utility" bag that I believe is meant for whitewater boats attached to the front pillar. It's got a couple lengths of 1/8" bungie with spring clips holding it into place. For awhile I used it under the deck, it's about 4"x6"x3", I think Planetary gear makes it, or is that Salamander? Anywho mounted upside down with the zipper facing down you'd think things would fall out but they don't. It makes a convenient glove compartment but you can still stash a pump or other stuff above it.
