I am going to construct a strip-built wood kayak. I am curious as to what the users of this board would incorporate into their 'ideal yak'. I am looking for ideas that would be built into the boat, rather than aftermarket add-ons. I mostly paddle coastal water and large lakes. One thing I had thought of is to add the hardware to adapt a sail rig (possibly the CLC rig). Thank all.
