: Hey Shawn, I've been mulling over purchasing the Mag77. What do you, or any
: other Mag77 owners out there think of it. It definately looks like the
: last circular saw I'll have to buy. But 16 lbs, ouch, that'll get heavy
: after a while.
:I own the craftsman mag worm drive which is made by Skill and I have to say that I don't think I could kill it if I tried. Worm drive saws are great for high torque needs or any heavy work but if your framing and have to lift this thing off a table then a traditional circular would be better. I use mine for general cutting, decking and plywood and love it. It does try to twist when you first turn it on. When cutting the weight actually keeps it planted on the work surface nicely so the saw just cuts along. I have no trouble cutting even preasure treated woods with this saw.
