This is one of the comments I saw after I typed "yare kayak" in the Google search engine..
I think the reason they don’t make kits available is to keep it out of the hands of beginners. An inexperienced kayaker would probably quickly learn that it has excellent primary stability when upside down. I found it delightful: light, responsive, fast, straight tracking,
Another comment said that the Yare is too hard to paddle. The author is now using it as a wall decoration.
Be sure this is the right boat for you! It also seems harder to build than many others.
