: A friend and I are building a Guillemot based on Nick's book. We are unclear
: about the combing dimensions. By looking at the pictures and reading we
: estimate: Lip width 1"
: Lip thickness 5/8"
: Height from the deck to the bottom of the lip 3/8"

: We want to keep the lip low for strength, while being easy to get the spray
: skirt on.

: Any hints or clarifications greatly appreciated.

Rick,

What a great set of progress pictures that you have posted ! The kayak is coming along quite well from the looks of it... I was wondering about the "cone" you put on. I am just starting out the Guillemot and am interested in that design. Did YOU decide to do it that way ? Where did you find specs on designing it ? I am always looking for interesting ideas to incorporate into the Guillemot without changing tooo much.

Great site !!!! I will be back to see the final results as time progresses...and too get some pointers for when I reach certain stages in my building process... Keep us updated...

If anyone wants to step by step pics of his work, I definitely recommend going to his site... disabledpaddlesports.com and then clicking the information link and then his progress link...

Thanks again Rick,

David
