I have two Pygmy Cohos that I finished about 2 months ago. I want to get the knee or thigh braces for them. Are the thigh braces worth the extra cost and effort to install, or should I just get the knee braces?
According to the Pygmy web site:
Knee braces -
"Small pre-cut foam braces--necessary for learning to roll and brace. Helps you grip boat for better control. Good for touring."
Thigh braces -
"Keyhole version gives you more control for technical paddling."
The picture (from http://www.pygmyboats.com/HullGear.htm) shows the knee braces on the left and the thigh braces on the right.
