Don't know what Pygmy kayaks you have seen but I have a Coho. The inside of my multichine hull has 6 oz. glass all the way to the sheer, stem to stern with the exception of about 2" on each side in the cockpit area (at the sheer) because the 38" glass is not wide enough to completely cover the widest area of the hull. The inside of the deck has a fillet and 2"glass tape, the full length of every one of the multichine seams. The outside deck and hull are fully glassed with 6oz. glass.
