Hey John,
Been watching your combing idea. And been keeping my mouth shut. I like your inventive streak.

But I'm gonna suggest that your boat is drop dead gorgeous all wood. I'm with the others on this one. Ditch the body putty and go with plywood or rope combing. It will look better with all the effort you put on your ram in lay.
