OK, that's good.
: Sanding into that stuff results in a gooey, sticky mess.
That pretty much eliminates contact cement...that was a BFO (Blinding Flash of the Obvious). Thanks, Shawn.
I'll have to try sanding a test piece of the construction adhesive. It dries hard...have to see if it heat activates from sanding.
