Agreed. Not only the glue is hazardous, though. Western red cedar contains plicatic acid, which has been linked with asthma and liver damage. The small quantities involved here are probably of no consequence, but what is the upside to taking the risk? The link below discusses respiratory toxicity, but touches on other exposures also.
