The Center for Wooden Boats is hosting a Wooden Boat Show on Lake Union in Seattle on July 3,4,&5. They host this event every year -- it's alot of fun with much to do and see. There will be all kinds of wooden boats (including canoes and kayaks).

They even have a"build-a-boat-as-fast-as-you-can-and-then-race-it" event that I'm sure Mark will want to enter!

If there are any of you kayak and canoe builders in the "Great Northwest", you should plan to attend; I know I will be there exhibiting several of my own kayaks!

Saturday evening the city of Seattle puts on a fireworks show from a barge anchored in the middle of Lake Union -- it is quite a show and lots of fun to watch from the security of your own cockpit!
