I am a scoutmaster of a boy scout troop. We are getting into flat and ww kayaking. I put the word out for kayak donations and recieved this boat in response. It's a Lettmann Mark IV design, hot racing model circa 1974 or 1975.
It's yellow deck, orange hull, The boat has seen a great deal of heavy duty IV and V whitewater action through the years, but has been stored in the garage for the past several years. Epoxy (Polester?) resin over kevlar and glass. The resin is wearing out/shrinking and the fiberglass is at the surface. It is hairy. What is needed to re resin/gel coat this boat to make it usable again.
Thanks for your help.
Pete. Scoutmaster T-889
P. S. I have been drooling over the beautiful wooden kayaks for some time
