nice to see the idea in action

some further ideas

mask out beyond the 1inch overlap under. use waterbased contact cement on the foam so doesn/t move and good joins and then releases on water cleanup. instead of thickened epoxy against the tube, use another(couple?) small layer of glass
with the tube to give strenght at a natural failure(esp cracks) point. use colour all the way as will see the inside of the curve and the edge. if you're using duck(t?) tape to hold down the glass, use it to also hold down some plastic wrap over so the finish is flatter and less sanding to do - may even get a better layup.

just great to see it actually in process.
