Thanks for the ideas Mick. I had a long response written out and AOL kicked me off and I lost it all. I will just say that the taped edges on the glass strips will cause some problem because some of them will be glassed in and will have to be removed. I was going to use water based contact cement to hold the foam down but backed off at the last minute and used hot glue. I will have three layer of glass on this morning and they have ridges from the glass tape edges that are thicker and all that will have to be sanded smooth. Then I will add a couple of layers of regular tape with color in the epoxy. What you said about the color, I should have added it all along. I didn't know that. I did test putting craft waterbased color in the epoxy and didn't have any bad reactions. I will let you know if it all works without too many problems.
