Any aerial flares that also contain some kin of metallic chaff? Seems to me that something which worked like a skyrocket and puffed out a hundred foot ball of metal foil bits would create a huge radar "target". Small bits of chaff are pretty light and get carried for a while in the airstream, so they'ld stay aloft for a few more seconds, too.

Do parachute flares have metallic tubes, metallized mylar chutes, metalized ribbons,or anything like that to increase their radar profile?

Just hope something like this doesn't scare the socks off of some rader operator who thinks his boat is suddenly in the way of a fast approaching aircraft carrier.
