: finished up a 2200 mile trip with no problems. Good for lifting the boat
: too. I just ran 1/4" line over the deck and through the loops and
: back down to the bumpers. I considered eye screws too, but saw this posted
: somewhere and thought it less cumbersome. The ends are doubled up where
: the brass screws go through.

: Also watch out for the racks built onto your typical car. They can detatch
: unexpectedly. Bow and Stern lines are a must. Even on our Yakima rack, I
: used them, especially with three boats on top. Of course the old truck
: didn't move more than 65 mph, but you gotta love that ol' Toyota: 210K+
: and it never complained once during the trip.

Good to hear from you. I like the looks of the webbing. Where'd you snag that stuff from?

You did a much better job on the front of " X ". Looks good. Yeh, I was afraid that I'd have to go with some sort of bow and stern line. The Expedition's rack is on the back 3rd of the vehicle and that means a lot of boat sticking out the front end.

It's gonna be a mad dash to get this thing done in time. Every evening till midnight lately and all my days off. Gettin' there!

You'll be loading the site up with wonderful Vacation Pics now, I'm sure. Sure would like to see the "X" in action. Later......
