I finally got a good picture of "Spike". She's a 15.5' Cape Charles (Chesapeake Light Craft) that I built this winter.
She's my first boat but I had soooo much fun building her I expect she will have some siblings soon. Now I am enjoying paddling the fruits of my winter evenings learning to meditate while sanding.
I've been reading this forum for a while and have benefited from all the thoughtful answers and hints. Thanks to everyones efforts I didn't make too many mistakes.
I expect my next one will be a hybrid and maybe even smaller. I don't do excursions, at least not yet. The paddling in western Massachusetts is on lakes and rivers in places were I want to get close to shore and scoot in and out of the trees in the spring, and eat bluberries off the bushes on the banks in the summer. Thanks everyone. Happy paddling and building. Bevlynn
