: How would I go about finding the local clubs? cause I have never delt with
: this before..only reason I have it is cause my mother gave it to me when
: she moved out of state..
What state are you in? What is the nearest major city? An internet search engine like Google.com can help you locate local groups.
Frequently colleges have such groups. Also, any boat supply company might have information on groups, particularly if the boaters buy a lot of supplies.
I know Illinois, Minnesota, and California have several paddling groups that have web pages. I'm certain there are more, I just haven't looked

OK I just looked.
Try this list of kayak clubs from:
http://www.wavelengthmagazine.com/clubs.html
or a longer list:
http://www.geocities.com/Yosemite/Gorge/8642/intclubs.html
You don't need to contact ALL these people, jsut try to fins someone local. It should get you started.

I take it that you are not interested in building a boat yourself form this mold. You might want to try that before you get rid of the mold.
